Background...

Approximately 12km to the north of Luang Prabang sits the village of Na Sei Chaluern. Set amongst a backdrop of mountains and jungle the village is a small, close nit community with an array of interesting people. As one of the poorer communities in Champhit District the need for basic infrastructural development is great. With only a mud road running to the village the remoteness is evident and your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The Project:
To renovate the local primary school, including adding electricity supply, and renovation of school toilet facilities.

This was our outline for the project.

This is our first effort at project work in Na Sei Chaluern, and we will be striding to improve the condition of the local primary school. As one of the smaller villages we work with, the school only consists of 54 students and 4 teachers, one of which teaches English.
Our ambition is to make this a long term project site, to one day further improve the school site, but also to begin some form of development within the community itself. The only sanitation facility is located at the primary school, and running water systems are all in public spaces. We felt the village would benefit hugely from our work over the next few years.
Beginning with renovation of the school,  but leading to improving the lives of the community as a whole.
